How we decide what to cover, how we test, and how we stay independent.

Last updated: May 2026

Our mission

Angl3d exists to give 3D printing enthusiasts honest, tested information. We cover hardware, filaments, slicers, and maker culture — not because brands pay us to, but because we find it genuinely interesting and think the community deserves better coverage than most sites provide.

Independence

Angl3d is independently owned and operated. We have no investors, no parent company, and no advertising partners who influence our editorial decisions. The only people who decide what we cover and how we cover it are the people who write and edit for this site.

Brands cannot pay to be reviewed, pay for positive coverage, or pay to have negative coverage removed. If we accept a review unit from a manufacturer, we disclose it clearly at the top of the article. Receiving a product for free has no bearing on our conclusions — we have returned products and written critical reviews of items we received at no cost.

How we test

We print with the hardware we review. This sounds obvious but it is not universal practice in tech journalism. Our process:

Affiliate links

Some articles contain affiliate links — if you click through and buy something, we earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate relationships never influence which products we recommend or how we rate them. See our full Affiliate Disclosure for details.

Corrections

We correct factual errors promptly. If you find a mistake, contact us at the address on our contact page. Corrections are noted inline in the relevant article with the date of the change.

Comments and community

We do not currently host comments. Disagreements, corrections, and feedback are welcome via email. We read everything.
